 Common Instructions for Orbi Setup      

 

1.       Connect your Orbi router to the modem with an Ethernet cable.

2.       Connect your power adapter to the router and plug the power adapter into the socket.

3.       Check the power LED light. If the LED does not light up, then check again that the power adapter connected your router and socket properly.

4.       Place your Orbi satellite within the range of your Orbi WiFi router signal.

5.       Press the sync button to sync the Orbi router and satellite together.

Sync button is placed on both Orbi router and Orbi satellite.

6.       When your router and satellite syncing success. The satellite LED lights blue to indicate your router and satellite have a good connection.

Note: If the satellite LED lights Amber, that means the connection is poor. Please place your satellite close to your router and try again the syncing process.

After completing the above-mentioned steps, you can configure your Orbi router via app and computer both.

Access the Netgear Orbi Mesh interface

Setup Via Orbi App


Here, we understand how we download the Netgear Orbi app and customized settings of the mesh system. Steps to access via app:

1.       For login via mobile, first you need to connect with an orbi mesh network with SSID details.

2.       Now, enter the Orbi app in the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS.

3.       Simply download the app by pressing the Enter download button, and wait for it to install.

4.       After installing, open the Orbi app.

5.       Here, a login page will be open.

6.       Fill in the username and password that are mentioned in the Orbi Mesh user manual. 

7.       When your credentials are correct, an interface dashboard is open.

8.       On this dashboard, you adjust all settings of your Orbi Mesh system.

By using these steps, we access the interface of the Netgear Orbi mesh system in the app.


Setup Via Using Computer


Now, we learn how to access the OBI interface on a computer. Steps are:

1.       In the beginning, connect your computer device to an orbi router with an Ethernet cable.(You also connected wirelessly your computer to an orbi router.)

2.       Open any web browser on your computer, such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, ect.

3.       Enter URL orbilogin.com or orbilogin.net into the address bar of your browser.

4.       Now a login page will open on the computer.

5.       Fill in your login details, username, and password. (Check user manual for username and password.)

6.       After filling in login details, a dashboard is open.

7.       On this dashboard, you can customize all settings of the Obit mesh router according to your needs.

Update Your Orbi Mesh System


Now, we learn how to update your Netgear Orbi router. Steps are:

1.       First, open the Orbi web interface dashboard on your computer.

2.       Now open the settings bar on the dashboard.

3.       In settings, find the firmware tab and select it.

4.       Check the latest firmware updates.

5.       If there is any update, then click on the update button to upgrade firmware.

6.       Don’t turn off the computer and Orbi router until the update is complete.
